The CPC is not directly involved in the direction or funding of research activities for the Canadian pork sector, outside of the projects funded through the Livestock Environmental Initiative (LEI). Provincial pork associations, however, assume a more active role in funding innovative research efforts. For more detailed information regarding ongoing or completed research, contact your local provincial pork association.
Numerous research cataloguing and information dissemination websites are maintained for the benefit of the Canadian agricultural sector. For information on scientific research regarding the environment and, specifically, manure and nutrient management, please visit ManureNet, the premier national livestock manure information resource and coordination centre.
